In Manhattan, Kan., Kansas State rallied to a 17-11 victory against Holy Cross in their 2024 home opener at Tointon Family Stadium on Friday. Jayden Lobliner led with five RBIs, including a three-run homer, while Raphael Pelletier also contributed with a three-run blast. Despite Holy Cross’s early lead, the No. 24 Wildcats utilized 13 hits to secure the win. Head coach Pete Hughes commended Lobliner’s resilience and the team’s collective effort. Contributions from every member of the lineup, including Brady Day and David Bishop, showcased the Wildcats’ offensive strength. K-State utilized six pitchers, with newcomer Sam Roberts clinching the victory in relief. The win sets the stage for the upcoming rematch against Holy Cross on Saturday.
