Perez Sets New Royals Mark with Multi-Homer Night in Texas

Salvador Perez made Kansas City Royals history Tuesday by hitting two home runs against the Texas Rangers, giving him the most multi-home run games in team history.

Perez opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning and added a solo shot in the sixth, both off Texas starter Jack Leiter. The performance gave Perez 18 career multi-homer games, moving him past George Brett and ahead of Mike Sweeney’s 16.

The 35-year-old catcher also added an RBI double in the fourth, finishing the game with three RBIs. It was his first multi-homer effort of the 2025 season and first since an August 2024 win over Cleveland.

Perez, a nine-time All-Star, continues to be a steady presence in the Royals lineup as the team opened its three-game series in Arlington with a strong offensive showing.
