Steve Deutscher is set to be inducted into the CCCHS Class of 2024 Hall of Fame on Monday, April 1st. Mr. Deutscher taught Woodworking and Construction Technology at CCCHS from 1973 to 2004.

Mr. Deutscher made a large impact on not just his students, but also the local community. In 1973 his classes built garages, offices, installed cabinets, finished basements, and even constructed houses in the area.

In 1988 a foundation was laid at the high school where Mr. Deutscher’s classes built houses. With Mr. Deutscher’s expertise and supervision, his classes constructed houses, including the framing, roofing, insulating, sheet rocking, and painting of the houses. These houses were then auctioned off. His classes built 17 houses in total.

Mr. Deutscher continues to be a positive influence in the area, with many of his former students using the skills they learned from him in building professions. Additionally, he has made his mark throughout the community, assisting his expertise in many area projects.
