Authorities say one person was killed in a two-vehicle collision Friday, in Washington County, Kansas.
Kansas Highway Patrol officers identified the victim as 23-year-old Hunter Wohlbrandt, of Wakefield, Kansas. Authorities said he was the driver of a 1986 GMC truck that was southbound on Kansas Highway 119 and failed to yield at a stop sign.
The truck entered the intersection of K-119 and Kansas Highway 9 when it was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 15-year-old Waterville, Kansas female. That driver and a 47-year-old male passenger, also of Waterville, were taken to Washington County Hospital with minor injuries.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Wohlbrandt was taken to Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska where he later died. The KHP determined he was not wearing his seatbelt during the crash. The occupants of the Tahoe were wearing seatbelts.
