Several CCCHS YLinK students have been invited to speak at the Governor’s Behavioral Health Services Planning Council.
The Council is composed of mental health consumers, family members of mental health consumers, mental health service providers, state agency staff, and private citizens, according to their website. The Council is involved in planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and advising state government regarding Kansas’ mental health services.
Lori Martin of the CCCHS YLinK says the students were invited to the Council’s meeting in March.
Martin says the group was noticed thanks to their efforts in the Clay Counts Coalition’s Community Commitment Night back in November:
The YLinK students invited to the Council are Reagan McDonald, Izzy Blackwood, Annie Larson, Emma Spellman, Alecia Corrales, Deisy Lopez, and Caylyn Pfizenmaier.
