In a Facebook post, Glenn’s Music, a Poyntz Avenue staple since January 1983, has announced its impending closure. Founded by Glenn Axelton, who dedicated thirty years to the store before his departure in 2013, the family has decided it’s time to move forward. Instructors have been informed and are notifying their students, allowing for a smooth transition to new teaching spaces. The closure date will depend on the instructors’ readiness. Rental account holders are urged to continue payments until further notice. The repair shop will operate as long as the store remains open. The family expresses gratitude to Manhattan, Junction City, surrounding communities, schools, and private instructors who contributed to the store’s success over forty years. For inquiries, patrons are encouraged to contact Glenn’s Music.
