Clay Center Community High School Excels in Track and Field Despite Wind

Despite windy conditions, Clay Center Community athletes performed well in both men’s and women’s events.

In the men’s division, Jace Weller took first in the 100m finals, followed by teammates Ethan Mesalles and Levi Kramer. Weller also secured second in the 200m. Enrique Aguero placed seventh in the 400m. Fernando Avalos placed third in the 800m and second in the 1600m. Justice Holte placed second in the 3200m. Drew Hoffman won both hurdle events, and the 4x400m Relay team finished second.

In the women’s division, Tovah Catlin took second in the 100m and first in the 200m. Alissa Cowing placed third in the 800m, and Lauren Smith won the 1600m. In field events, Savanah Bloomdahl placed second in shot put and Raimee Lipker placed fourth in discus.
