Clay Center Seed Swap Wants To Encourage More To Garden

By Quinn O’Hara

On March 23 from 10am to noon the 4th & Court Bookshop & Makerspace in Clay Center will be hosting a seed swap organized by the 23rd & Elk Greenhouse

Josh Wisner of the Greenhouse said local gardener Jo Close suggested and encouraged him to organize the seed swap.

Wisner said the goal of the event is to get people excited about gardening.

The seed swap will also host gardening expert Kelsy Hatesohl who will give a presentation on seed starting. Hatesohl will also be available for gardeners to seek advice and gardening knowledge. Wisner said he has no shortage of seeds for the event with over 1,000 seed packets having been donated so far. He encourages all to visit and get their hands into gardening.
