On Friday, February 2nd, in a public Kansas Children’s Cabinet & Trust Fund Board Meeting, Clay Center was announced to receive $3,642,000 in funding to build a proposed Clay Center Multigenerational Life Center.

Murato notes that none of the funding will be official until a contract is completed and signed. If the funding is secured, Murato says the project will move fast to complete the center before the September of 2025 deadline. The Clay Center Multigenerational Life Center has been proposed to be built near the Clay Center Community Middle School.
