Clay Center Tigers Claw Their Way to Doubleheader Sweep Against Hays

In a doubleheader against Hays, the Clay Center Tigers managed to secure victories in both games by narrow margins.

In the first game, Clay Center edged out Hays with a final score of 5-4. Isaac Berggren started on the mound for Clay Center, with Morgan Brumfield and Cole Pladson later contributing to the pitching effort. Offensively, Brody Hayes, Carter Long, Tucker Jackson, and Justin Wright made notable contributions, with Tucker Jackson registering two RBIs.

The second game saw Clay Center outlasted Hays in a 3-2 contest that extended to 8 innings. Brody Hayes and Owen Craig played crucial roles on the mound for Clay Center, while Carter Long’s two RBIs proved decisive. Morgan Brumfield’s standout moment came when he drew a key walk with the bases loaded and showcased strong defense in the final inning.
