Clay Center won the quad Varsity Tennis Meet at Abilene, scoring 22 points for first place. Manhattan and Marysville tied for second with 19 points each, while Abilene didn’t score.
Individual highlights included Cale Tromp’s 2-1 record in #1 singles, tying for first place, and Eli Pfizenmaier’s second-place finish in #2 singles. Taige Pfizenmaier/JT Alton and Brooks Craig/Anthony Davies got second and first place respectively in doubles.
Coach Gary Russell praised the team’s performance, especially Pfizenmaier’s crucial win in the final match against Marysville, securing the team’s victory. Russell commended the team’s effort and sportsmanship throughout.
