Happy Hippie Studios of Clay Center has hired a new yoga instructor.

Angie Oberhelman is a mental health therapist with 25 years of experience and has completed LifeForce Yoga training, RYT-200 training, as well as her Pre and Postnatal training.

Oberhelman was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado but was raised in Clay Center. After graduating from Clay Center Schools Oberhelman moved to Kansas City and eventually New York City to pursue her interest in fashion.

After attending the Fashion Institute of Technology she shifted her focus to pursue a career counseling psychology. Here she discovered her love of helping teens and young adults de-stress, eventually fostering a love of yoga through helping her clients.

Oberhelman moved back to Clay Center to be with family in 2022. After an off year, Happie Hippie Owner Erin Hammel reached out to Oberhelman and asked her to join the team as a yoga instructor.

Oberhelman said she’s most excited to teach people how to focus on their mind and body through her classes.

Oberhelman will teach one class on Tuesdays from 9am to 10am. Hammel said she’s excited to add Oberhelman to the team and hopes to have her on as a permanent fixture of Happy Hippie Studios.
