A new mental health therapist has set up shop in Clay Center.

Rosewood Therapeutic Services is owned and operated by Melissa Petesch, who has over 12 years of experience as a Licensed Social Worker. Petesch said she decided on Clay Center as her office’s location after noticing a need for mental health services in the community.

Petesch said she doesn’t want to limit herself when it comes to services or patients.

A ribbon cutting and Grand Opening ceremony will take place at Rosewood Therapeutic on Friday, May 10th from 12:00-1:00pm. The new business is located within the building at 805 5th Street in Clay Center, which was recently remodeled to provide new office spaces and business opportunities in the small town. Petesch said, “Clay Center has put so much time and effort into their community and it’s a great place to be.” Adding that she wants to be a part of that growth and hopes to fill at least some of the mental health needs in the area.
