The Carnegie Library will be hosting a Pajama Party with Santa at 4:30 PM on December 12th. I spoke with Brittany Girton, Library Director, about this Event.
Girton said that they decided to have the party with Santa before Halloween. She knew they needed to plan it early to get Santa scheduled as he is a busy man. The library has a Santa Storytime every year. This year they wanted to do something a little more special and fun for the kids on Gingerbread Day.
Girton said the kids and parents can expect a whole lot of fun! Not only is it a pajama party, but there is going to be hot cocoa, popcorn, Christmas music, gingerbread cookies to decorate, and of course Santa. There will also be several Christmas books on display that kids and parents can read.
Girton added that there is no limit on who can attend the party and all are welcome. However, there is a limit of about 4 to 5 dozen cookies to decorate, which is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Get there early so you and your children will have plenty of time to meet Santa and have a great time in your PJs!
