Tremelle Montgomery, a former soldier at Ft. Riley, has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 50 years for murder of 21-year-old Joshua Wardi in Aggieville in February of 2022. A Riley County grand jury found Montgomery guilty of first-degree murder and aggravated assault among other charges. Two other men were arrested and charged in connection with the murder, but their cases are still ongoing.
