Inmate at Riley County Jail Causes Damage to Facility

In an incident on September 13, 2023, at around 8:15 p.m., Aaron Flower, a 41-year-old resident of Manhattan, found himself facing further legal consequences while already incarcerated at the Riley County Jail. Flower’s actions escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in the arrest of the inmate.

Flower’s alleged rampage within the confines of the correctional facility included assaulting three Corrections Officers and causing significant damage by breaking a window. Preliminary estimates suggest the total loss associated with this case to be approximately $2,000.

In light of his actions, Aaron Flower has been arrested on charges of criminal damage to property and three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer. To secure his continued confinement, Flower was issued a bond of $25,000.
