On September 17, 2023, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Riley County officers responded to a report of criminal damage to property near the intersection of W. 56th Ave. and S. 28th St. The victim in this incident is identified as Double KS Farms Inc.

According to the police report, an unknown suspect deliberately drove a vehicle into a cornfield owned by Double KS Farms Inc., causing extensive damage to the crops and striking an irrigation system in the process. The estimated total loss is approximately $500.
