Kansas State University’s online programs achieved recognition for excellence across six categories in the 2024 Best Online Programs Rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Debbie Mercer, interim provost and executive vice president, highlighted that these rankings validate the university’s commitment to its Next-Gen strategic plan, aiming to deliver innovative programs aligned with lifelong learners’ needs.
The evaluation, covering over 1,600 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, assessed factors like student engagement, faculty credentials, and support for veterans. K-State’s online master’s programs in business and education notably improved their rankings nationally, with the Master of Science in Data Analytics and Master of Accountancy rising to No. 9 and the Master’s in Education to No. 12.
K-State’s online bachelor’s programs also progressed, with the business programs securing a higher ranking. Karen Pedersen, dean of K-State Global Campus, highlighted the university’s top-ranked online bachelor’s degree programs in Kansas, offering over 150 options taught by on-campus faculty.
