Washburn University’s School of Nursing Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Washburn University invites the public to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its School of Nursing. An open house and showcase will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at the Petro Allied Health Center on the Washburn campus.

The event in May will offer a variety of activities including tours of the Washburn mobile health clinic, a children’s area with interactive activities, and demonstrations in the learning and simulation labs. There will also be a photo booth and refreshments available. In addition, alumni will have the chance to talk about their time at Washburn’s School of Nursing and view posters made by current students. Registration is recommended through the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation, the event is open to the public and free of charge. Attendees are requested to contribute canned goods, non-perishable items, or personal hygiene products to replenish the Bods Feeding Bods Food and Commodities Pantry, which serves students at both Washburn University and Washburn Tech.
