12th Annual Grown Green Match Day Set for April 22nd

By Ryan Duey

The 12th Annual Grow Green Match Day, organized by the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, is scheduled for April 22nd. On this day, individuals can contribute to their preferred local nonprofit funds, either in person at the Colony Square Atrium from 7 am to 6 pm, online from midnight to 11:59 pm, or via mail with a postmark dated April 22, 2024.

Donations between $25 and $1,000 per donor per organization qualify for a 50% match, with each participating fund eligible for a maximum $7,500 match from $15,000 in donations. Additionally, an hourly drawing during the in-person event allows one donor to allocate an extra $100 to their chosen organization.

The Howe Family Foundation, the Butler Family Charitable Foundation, and anonymous donors have provided matching funds for this event. Contributions made on Grow Green Match Day can support the operating expenses, programs, and endowed funds of participating organizations, aiming to enhance their long-term impact.

Last year Grow Green Match Day generated over $2 million for the local community.
