On Sunday, October 22nd, the Cloud County Health Department had a community baby shower, helping a total of nine mothers in the county. The baby shower is for all pregnant and new mothers up to three months post-partum, as well as their support person in Cloud County.
At this event were handmade blankets created by members of Concordia First United Methodist Church; part of their annual Layette Set project. These blankets were used to wrap various items needed for newborns. Things such as baby wash, diapers, onesies, and more were wrapped up inside the blankets.
A grant from the Community Foundation for Cloud County helps make this project possible.
