On July 14th, 2023, the Concordia Police Department responded to a report of damaged property at the Concordia Swimming pool and pickleball court. The damage occurred overnight on July 13th. This incident has caused the swimming pool and pickleball court to be temporarily closed for at least one day.
Costly repairs are needed for the buildings and equipment. This incident has also resulted in lost revenue to the city and the lost wages of seasonal workers due to the closure.
