Concordia’s Got Talent Slated for End of March

By Ryan Duey

The Brown Grand Theatre in Concordia is bringing back “Concordia’s Got Talent,” inspired by the show “America’s Got Talent.” Live Auditions will take place on March 23rd at 3:00 p.m. with the Final Competitions taking place on March 30th at 3:00 p.m.

Melissa Swenson, Director of the Brown Grand, says the idea of this event has been kicked around for a number of years.

Auditions will consist of two Divisions. Division 1 will showcase contestants aged 6 to 16 and Division 2 is set for contestants aged 17 and up. Swenson stated that contestants can email Audition Videos if they cannot attend live.

Contestants will be judged by three special guests including a former “VOICE” contestant.

Audience members can attend the Live Auditions at no cost, while Admission to the Final Performances will cost $25 a person for both Divisions. Contestants can register until March 20th. For more information and to register visit their website at www.browngrand.org under the Events tab.
