September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. To celebrate, Dorothy Bramlage Public Library announced on Facebook that they are partnering with the Food Pantry of Geary County. If you currently have a library card but need a replacement, you can donate an unopened, nonperishable food item to the circulation desk. They will issue you a replacement card for free.
Even if you don’t need a new library card, you can still donate by bringing items to the circulation desk for the entire month of September. They will also accept monetary donations.
The pantry is running low on tomato products, hamburger or tuna helper, spaghetti sauce, and refried beans, but will appreciate any nonperishable food items they receive.
