Milford Nature Center to Hold a Wildflower Sale on Mother’s Day

By Ryan Duey

On Sunday, May 12th the Milford Nature Center will celebrate Mother’s Day with a Wildflower Sale and their Annual Butterly Garden Opening, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. All proceeds from the Plant Sale go to the Friends of the Milford Nature Center.

Katlyn Dunsing, Assistant Director of the Nature Center, said they will have Native Plant Seminars at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own seed ball to bring home. Dunsing said Native Plants support the Kansas Wildlife and environment and need less water to grow.

Local Honey will also be available to purchase while there. For more information on all the activities taking place at this Event visit their Facebook page.
