On the evening of June 28th, counties in the KCLY listening area experienced some severe weather that carried into the following morning. Residents in Republic County received about an inch to a half inch of rain. The rainfall was unexpected.

Many residents in Washington County experienced power outages due to power lines being down. They were told to report any power outages affecting their area by commenting their locations on a post on the Emergency Management Department’s Facebook page. Residents were urged to stay out of the areas while crews were working to clear roads and restore power.
