Every year, the Governor’s Council on Wellness recognizes one exceptional individual and one organization in Kansas that has promoted health and wellness in their community. This award, known as The Health Champion Award, aims to showcase those individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact in Kansas. These nominees can come from any background. They could be community leaders, volunteers, or even someone from the health care field.

The nomination process can be completed online. The form is simple, and just requires a description of the nominee’s accomplishments. It also asks how they have impacted their community’s health. The contact information for the nominee must be provided. The deadline to submit a nomination is October 31, 2023. The winners will later be announced via email, with the award ceremony taking place on January 11th, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas.
