Obituary-Jean Rothlisberger

Jean Rothlisberger, age 91 of Randolph, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at her home.

She was born on April 20, 1932 in McPherson, the daughter of Earl and Florence (Gregwire) Mildfelt.

She was married April 30, 1950 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church to Orval E. Rothlisberger.  He preceded her in death in 1993.

Jean was a farm wife and an excellent seamstress and baker.  She enjoyed watching game shows and sports on television and knitting.  She loved her grandkids and watching them participate in their activities.  Jean was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Randolph Senior Citizens, Farm Bureau, Ladies Aide and was a 4-H Sewing Leader.

She is survived by three daughters, Diann Lovgren and husband Rob of Wylie, Texas, Brenda Anderson and husband Wendell of Randolph and Cheryl Zimmer and husband Bruce of Randolph; four grandchildren, Stephanie Couron (David), Jodi Innes (Mitch), Lindsey Zimmer (Owen Tucker) and Chet Zimmer (Erika), and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Anthony Lovgren; two great grandchildren, Anthony Lovgren, Jr. and Emily Lovgren, and one sister, Jo Palmer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023 at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, south of Barnes with Rev. Joshua Hayes officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Big Blue Dream for the Blue Valley Baseball Field.  Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
