Mark Andrew Hixon, age 65, died at his residence in Clay Center, KS on March 1, 2023. He was born to Dean and Virginia (Bruce) Hixon, on December 25, 1957 in Clay Center, Kansas. Mark grew up in Clay Center and attended Clay Center schools, he later received his GED. He worked for various farm operations in Clay County, owned and operated Mark’s Detail Shop and was a mechanic for Village Auto Tech. Mark later worked for Junction City-Fort Riley Transportation Company. He was most proud of the work he did as a pipe fitter in the shipyards of Bath Ironworks in Bath, Maine. Mark is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gregory and a nephew.

A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Clay Center. Memorials can be made to a charity of your choice.
