Obituary-Nancy Beikmann

Nancy Carol Beikmann, 82, Linn, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Linn Funeral Home in Linn.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 15 at Zion Lutheran Church in Linn.

Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Nancy was born on April 17, 1941 in rural Washington County, Kansas to Elmer and Edna (Hiesterman) Rogge.  She was baptized in her Christian faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer by Pastor Kolm, and confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the State Line Lutheran Church by Pastor Hunek.

Nancy attended grade school at Ash Creek and Pleasant Hill schools, attended her freshman and sophomore years at Hollenberg High School and graduated from Linn High School.

On June 5, 1960, she was united in marriage to Edwin Beikmann at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Linn by Rev. John Kovac.  To this union they were blessed with four children, Jeffrey, Gregory, Todd and Amy.

Nancy worked at the Linn American Legion, Jack’s Food Market, and in the kitchen at the Linn Nursing home.  She loved flowers and tending to her flower garden.  Her family was important to her and she enjoyed playing games with her children and grandchildren.  She and Edwin enjoyed traveling around the country.

Nancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Dorcas Society and taught Sunday school.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edwin; brother, Olen Rogge; brothers-in-law, Ralph Beikmann and Raymond Beikman; and  sister-in-laws, Loretta Rogge Nutsch, Marge Rogge, Lydia Beikmann and Muriel Beikmann.

Survivors include sons, Jeffrey (LaShelle) Beikmann, Linn, Greg (Shari) Beikmann, Overland Park, and Todd (Donna) Beikmann,  Prairie Village; daughter Amy (Rick) Hildebrand, Linn, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers, Virgil (Marian) Rogge, Vernon Rogge and twin brother,  Fred (Idonna) Rogge; sister-in-law Micky Beikmann

A memorial fund is established to Zion Lutheran Church or Linn Lutheran School.  Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
