Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan was recently recognized by three national organizations: Leapfrog, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and U.S. News & World Report.
Bob Copple, hospital president said that although each recognition is impressive on its own, collectively they paint a picture of the close-to-home care being offered in Manhattan and the surrounding communities that they serve.
Leapfrog gave the Hospital an “A” in patient safety for the Fall of 2023, being one of only a dozen hospitals in Kansas to earn this reward. CMS gave Ascension Via Christi four stars for overall quality and patient safety. Also, U.S. News & World Report acknowledged Via Christi as one of the Top Performing Hospitals for Maternity Care.
Copple acknowledged that while it’s nice to receive awards, these recognitions demonstrate our team’s commitment to continuous quality improvement. They believe their patients and families deserve nothing less.
