On March 15th the Community Foundation of Dickinson County will be holding their Annual Donate Dickinson County Day to help area nonprofit organizations and churches. The Community Foundation will be open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm to accept donations or you can donate online.

Elizabeth Weese, Executive Director of the Foundation, says they started Donate Day to help area nonprofit organizations become sustainable.

Donate Day is a 24-hour event that gives nonprofit organizations the ability to greatly raise their endowment funds thanks to generous matches by the Foundation. Weese says the match dollars are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Weese tells a story of how one nonprofit used Donate Day and the Foundation to grow into a thriving organization.
