KSDS Celebrates Giving Tuesday

By Quinn O’Hara

KSDS Assistance Dogs is asking for $5,000 in donations in celebration of Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a global effort to donate your time, effort, money, or any other service to a non-profit organization. Giving Tuesday takes place each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, the 28th of November.

Last year KSDS, a nonprofit organization that trains and donates service dogs to those in need, set a goal of $2,500. Bryce Dolan, the Director of Marketing and Fundraising for KSDS, talks of the results of that effort:

Dolan tells how those interested in donating can help KSDS:

KSDS has trained over 600 service dogs over their 30 years of operation, and has given dogs to clients in 36 states with no cost to the client. Each KSDS dog is valued at over $25,000 each.
