Manhattan Native Starts Community Center to Help His Fellow Neighbors

By Ryan Duey

Be Able Community Center of Manhattan is a non-profit organization focused on helping the less fortunate in any way possible. Their dedicated staff and volunteers make a lasting impact on people in need of an upper hand.

We spoke to Scott Voos, Executive Director and Founder of Be Able about his organization.

According to Scott the 3 main pillars of help people are usually looking for are: Housing, Help with Employment, and Mental and Physical Wellness.

And while Be Able is still relatively new, they are growing quickly to help accommodate these needs.

Scott wanted us to know that they are always looking for volunteers or donations. Anything from food, clothing, blankets, or monetary donations to help keep the Center in full stock and running. Visit their website or Facebook page to get more information and to see how you can help.
