Wakefield Native James Williams Is Now A KHP Trooper For Clay County

A Wakefield native has graduated the Kansas Highway Department’s Training Academy, and has been assigned as a new patrol officer for Clay County.

James Williams graduated in class 67 of the KHP’s Training Academy, alongside 10 others.

Williams was born and raised in Wakefield and says he decided to join the force to be a part of something bigger:

After graduating, Trooper Williams said Clay County was his first choice of patrol area, and is thankful that’s where he was assigned to.

KHP Trooper James Williams’ first patrol was on December 26th.
