A new dog park in Wichita, County Acres Dog Park, is currently accepting applications from artists to design, construct, and install an art piece at the park. The selected winner will work alongside landscape architects and engineers from Baughman Company, the lead design firm on the project. The art budget for this project is $50,000 and is funded through the Percent for Art Ordinance and the City of Wichita’s Capital Improvement Plan.

The selection committee will consist of City staff, the design firm, and relevant stakeholders who will review and rank submissions from January 17-26, 2024. Any inquiries from artists are due by January 10th, 2024, and the submission deadline is January 17th, 2024.
