Boil water advisory rescinded for Fort Riley

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded the boil water advisory issued Monday
for portions of Fort Riley. Residents and customers in the affected areas of Historic Main Post, Camp
Whitside, Camp Funston and Marshall Army Airfield may resume using water normally.

The advisory was issued because of a line break resulting in a loss of pressure in the system. Water
pressure has been restored and laboratory testing samples collected at Fort Riley indicate no evidence of
bacteriological contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
