All highways in North Central Kansas have been reopened according to the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT).
Highway closures were necessary due to the drifting snow and dangerous weather last week. KDOT is still advising drivers to be cautious and give crews room to work, as they are still out clearing roadways. They noted that some roads are still packed with snow and are icy in certain areas.
Another chance of winter weather is expected early this week and many areas in Kansas are seeing snow today (January 15th). KDOT encourages everyone to check road conditions and prepare for the weather.
