Clay Center, KS- Clay Center’s Gather for Good Match Day is just 8 days away, kicking off on September 15th.
Morrie Floersch, one of the organizers with the Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation said that this is the fifth year they have done this fundraiser and that they wanted to help the non-profit groups in the area raise money for themselves and to also raise money to give them extra money on top of what they raised.
The match money is decided at the end of the day and is pro-rated based on the amount of money each organization had brought in, and this year, the Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation has $35,000 to give away this year, an amount they have been able to increase every year.
Floersch said that the donor can give donations to the non-profit of their choice and that a list of the non-profits can be found on their website.
There are other ways to make donations, such as going to the Clay County Museum from noon to 8 p.m. where many of the non-profits will be so donors can learn more about the non-profit.
There are 40 groups participating in the Gather for Good Match Day and if you would like to know more about those groups and what they need money for you can check out the website gatherforgoodcc.com.
