CINCINNATI, Ohio – Kansas State men’s basketball made a late surge but ultimately fell short in a 74-72 loss to Cincinnati on Saturday night. Senior Tylor Perry led the Wildcats with 26 points, including a go-ahead triple with 1:16 left. However, a clutch 3-pointer by Cincinnati’s Simas Lukosius sealed the victory for the Bearcats. K-State’s rally came after trailing by double digits, sparked by Perry’s scoring outburst in the second half. Despite the loss, sophomore Jerrell Colbert contributed a career-high 15 points. The Wildcats struggled with turnovers, committing 19, leading to 29 points for Cincinnati. The defeat extended K-State’s road losing streak to seven games.
