Belleville’s Rural Revitalization is Getting Notice From State Leaders

By Ryan Duey

Belleville leaders made a trip to Topeka to speak with their local legislators about what they’ve been doing to grow and revitalize the Community. They were given much praise by Legislators, including Lt. Governor David Tolland on how they are moving forward with their rural development.

Katy Duryea with the Belleville Chamber and Main Street says they want everyone to know they are welcome in their Community.

Duryea stated that there are currently over 200 jobs available in many different sectors in Belleville, and with a revitalized downtown and population on the rise for the first time since the 1960s, leaders are working to provide more housing.

Duryea and the Community work with positive attitudes and actions and State Leaders are taking notice.

With the actions of local leaders and Chamber and Mainstreet, Belleville is becoming a place you’ll want to visit.
