Sunflower Summer 2024: Kansas Tourism Unveils Program for Family Exploration

By Trish Svoboda

Kansas Tourism has unveiled the 2024 edition of the Sunflower Summer program. The program, which runs from May 25 to August 11, enables families with school-age children to acquire digital tickets through the Sunflower Summer app. The diverse range of attractions, including museums, water parks, theaters, and sports events, caters to a broad spectrum of interests.

Bridgette Jobe, the Director of Kansas Tourism, expressed her hope that the program will facilitate families’ exploration of the state’s history and culture. The program is accessible to students from pre-K through 12th grade across all educational platforms. The Sunflower Summer app will be ready for download on Apple and Android devices beginning May 1. Families are invited to share their experiences on social media using specific hashtags.
